Communities Foundation’s annual North Texas Giving Day, the largest community-wide giving event in the nation, is scheduled this year for September 21, 2023. SWAN Impact Network will be participating in the event and raising funds to further our mission of education and supporting under-represented entrepreneurs and promising impact startup companies.
Did you know that women founders received less than 2% of total start-up funding in 2021? And that founders of color only received 1.2% of total start-up funding? Funding for underrepresented entrepreneurs in the U.S. remains woefully small. SWAN beats the national average with 55% of our investments going to these underrepresented founders. SWAN is committed to building a pipeline on the front end.
Your gift to SWAN will help us make a positive change in the world. Your donation will encourage the success of founders who historically have received minimal investment. SWAN works with accelerators like Impact Ventures, Mass Challenge, and DIVINC. Our role is to provide access to impact investors, education, mentorship, and knowledge of these accelerators.
