Help Us Make a Greater Impact via North Texas Giving Day!

Communities Foundation’s annual North Texas Giving Day, the largest community-wide giving event in the nation, is scheduled this year for September 22, 2022. SWAN Impact Network will be participating in the event and raising funds to further our mission of supporting under-represented entrepreneurs and promising impact startup companies.

Did you know that women founders received less than 2% of total start-up funding in 2021? And that founders of color only received 1.2% of total start-up funding? Funding for underrepresented entrepreneurs in the U.S. remains woefully small. SWAN beats the national average with 47% of our investments going to these underrepresented founders. SWAN is committed to building a pipeline on the front end.

Your gift to SWAN will fund our scholarship initiative. Your donation will encourage the success of founders who historically have received minimal investment. SWAN works with accelerators like Impact Ventures, Mass Challenge, and DIVINC. Our role is to provide scholarships, along with access to impact investors, education, mentorship, and knowledge of these accelerators.

North Texas Giving Day is September 22nd, but you can start giving as early as September 1st. We are grateful to have a challenge match from Christina Gorczynski and her wife, Brett Merfish, for the first $5000 we raise from now until September 22nd. Our overall goal is to raise $15,000.
