SWAN is turning 10! On November 20, we celebrate a decade of supporting founders solving meaningful challenges in healthcare, the environment, and social impact. SWAN began with Founder Bob Bridge’s simple but powerful goal: to help protect the environment and support those facing significant challenges.

From 12 Angels in Austin in 2015, SWAN has grown to 120 Angels and Associates across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and beyond. Our members have invested more than $15 million in 51+ impact companies, helping them raise an additional $300 million, while contributing ~1,500 volunteer hours each year to strengthen and educate both founders and the broader impact community.

Bob credits SWAN’s progress to its dedicated members, leadership team, and staff. He highlights Binary Bridge (Backpack EMR)—founded by Lori Most—as a standout example of SWAN’s mission in action, improving healthcare access in communities with unreliable electricity and internet.

Looking ahead, Bob is energized by Executive Director Suresh Sundarababu’s leadership and the growing momentum of SWAN’s Climate Tech and Life Science Advisory Councils. As Bob notes, “The world faces significant challenges. SWAN Angels can help facilitate the introduction of new technologies to address those challenges.”
