Nishi Viswanathan, MD

Dr. Nishi Viswanathan is a medical doctor, turned cancer researcher, turned business leader. Her specialty is cutting through the clutter to identify the most promising health technologies, mapping out every potential hurdle in the journey from idea to impact, designing optimal commercialization pathways, and leading teams to execute on go-to-market strategy.

Nishi is currently the VP of Product, Commercialization & Business Development at Innovation Lab, a healthcare technology company that partners with member-owner health systems to develop products that address clinical unmet needs. She serves as an advisor to multiple medtech & healthtech startups and an angel network. Nishi also teaches health innovation & entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Austin where she is an adjunct faculty member. Her career has spanned many job functions along the product life cycle, including ideation, design, venture creation, product development, regulatory strategy, launch, business development, and marketing. Before joining Innovation Lab, Nishi was the Director of Translational Programs/Health Product Innovation at Dell Medical School, Univ. of Texas at Austin.
